Spring Break 3/12 - 3/22

Just wanted to leave a note here to let the community know that this blog won't be moderated very often during the break since many of our committee members will be out of town. Feel free to leave comments, though, and we'll get to them as soon as everyone returns the following week.

As a sidebar, many teachers are going to be working on their rooms from now until the end of this semester so that other renovations can take place during summer break. We'd like to invite you to come in early next school year and see what they've accomplished in that time!

  1. I was wondering why the online Newsletter was removed from the website for the high school. I noticed for a long time it wasn't updated and then it was removed. As a parent, I really relied on that information to know what was going on at the school. I've tried using the online calendar, but it's not as readable and doesn't have everything that the newsletter did.

Also, I'm glad it was mentioned in the district paper about this blog. I had no idea this even existed until I read the district online newsletter.

  2. I did some checking and found that there is now a 'tab' at the top of the district (and high school) webpage labeled "Newsletter" (fourth from the left) - my guess is that they wanted to make it available to parents of all the schools without having to update the link on each school's webpage. Hope this helps and thanks for leaving your comments! Please help spread the word about the availability of this blog!

  3. Committee Member, I don't believe jgonzalez212000 was referring to the district newsletter. I think she/her was speaking about the High School weekly bulletin which although not updated very often was appreciated by parents looking for information.

  4. Thanks for that information... I wasn't aware of that weekly bulletin's previous availability online - possibly because teachers get a copy of it each week - but I'll look into it and see if I can find the reason for it's removal.

  5. Any updates on the where-abouts of the weekly bulletin?

  6. Sorry this took so long, but I did find out that the weekly bulletin was removed due to a formatting issue when the website was redesigned. According to my source, they are looking for a way to put a link directly to ScheduleStar, which has all the information in the weekly bulletin and more. Thanks again for your comments/questions... and your patience!
